GREETINGS FROM New Jersey
WE HOPE TO MEET YOU SOON!
Tara always liked stories and tv shows that featured characters who were adopted children. When she was seven, she told her parents that she wanted to adopt someday. Similarly, George has always wanted to become a father and has been open to adoption.
If you let us adopt your child, we will give them unconditional love and affection, and will always be supportive of them. We will protect them, nurture them, educate them, encourage them, and make sure that they always know how much they are loved and wanted.
THANK YOU for taking the time to look at our profile and getting to know us more!

OUR SPECIAL DAY
WE’RE A SWEET, DEDICATED, LOVING COUPLE WHO ARE LOOKING TO BUILD OUR FAMILY.

A TRAIN RIDE IN COLORADO
WE PUT IN THE WORK TO MAKE OUR HOME A
LOVING, STABLE PLACE.

WE LIKE BEING SILLY
WE MET OUR FRESHMAN YEAR OF COLLEGE AND FELL IN LOVE WITH EACH OTHER IMMEDIATELY. A mutual friend introduced us in mid- November, and just two weeks later, George asked Tara out. We both felt super comfortable with each other, like we were meant to be together. We love being goofy together, and one of the first things that attracted us to one another was our sense of humor and how we make each other laugh.
WE’RE BOTH BIG NERDS. George has always loved sci- fi, while Tara is a fan of fantasy. In our living room, mixed in with photos of our friends and family, are posters of Captain Picard, the Ninja Turtles, a map of Middle Earth, and a painting George made for Tara based on the British Sci-fi show Red Dwarf.
After 13 years of marriage, we’re a comfortable and committed couple. Keeping our relationship strong is very important to us. WE FEEL OUR BIGGEST STRENGTH IS COMMUNICATION. We never do anything major without discussing and agreeing to how it will be done.

TARA LOVES BAKING SPECIAL TREATS

TARA IS KIND, THOUGHTFUL AND EMPATHETIC.

TARA AT HER WRITING DESK
She is fun to be around and has a great sense of humor. She adores our cat, Diana, who follows her around the house. Tara gives Diana lots of pets and kisses, plays with her, and makes sure that she has whatever she needs.
Tara believes that reading is very important and says all the time that ONE OF THE THINGS SHE’S LOOKING FORWARD TO THE MOST IS READING STORIES TO OUR CHILD. She’s an entertaining reader. Our niece, Meri, always asks Tara to read her stories whenever she visits.
She puts a lot of effort into her writing, making notes about her characters, and editing her work. She is a creative person who is constantly imagining new scenarios to write about. She works hard to make every story the absolute best it can be and does not believe in doing anything halfway.

When not writing, you can often find Tara reading or baking. She loves to try new recipes and makes amazing gluten-free desserts. Tara also enjoys visiting museums, singing, dancing, and taking pictures. She has a million pictures of our cat and can’t wait to go photo crazy over our future child too!

GEORGE IN FRONT OF THE STEAM ENGINE IN COLORADO
GEORGE IS SWEET, LOVING, AND KIND TO EVERYONE HE MEETS.

GEORGE AND HIS FINISHED MODEL

BEING SILLY WITH UNCLE GEORGE IS FUN
He has a generous heart and a great sense of ethics. He works very hard at his job and is also a stable provider who cares about making sure that the household is well provided for. He is truly a family man who is always looking out for the welfare of his parents and our in-laws.
GEORGE IS VERY GOOD WITH CHILDREN. When our nieces come to visit, he always makes sure to take time to interact with them and usually does some sort of educational activity with them like showing them how to cook or building model rockets. He is also good at relating to older children and teens on an emotional and psychological level. George believes highly in the value of a good education and always does his best to share knowledge and information with everyone.

THE FUN STUFF
George builds models and paints figures from his favorite sci-fi shows. He also likes to paint pictures, collects Star Trek cards, and has fun building and flying model rockets with students at both his college and his church’s summer day camp.

THE TREES OUTSIDE OUR HOME IN THE SPRING
We live in a beautiful, three-floor, two-bedroom home in central New Jersey. It’s a small, friendly development. OUR NEIGHBORS’ KIDS ARE ALWAYS PLAYING OUTSIDE TOGETHER, AND WE ALL LOOK OUT FOR ONE ANOTHER. There’s a nature preserve, an art gallery, a performing arts center, and a nearby train that goes into the city.
George’s hobby area and small office that he uses for remote workdays are in the basement. The living room, dining room, and kitchen are on the first floor. The kitchen has a window that looks out into the living room which will make it easier to keep an eye on our child while cooking or doing dishes. Our bedroom and the kid’s room are connected by the main bathroom. We also have a wide patio on the first floor, and a smaller balcony outside our bedroom that we use as a vegetable garden in the warm months.

OUR WORK
TARA IS A WRITER WHO CAN’T WAIT TO BE A STAY-AT-HOME MOM! Writing from home, she can devote herself to our child during the day while George is at work.
GEORGE WORKS AS AN ACADEMIC ADVISOR helping students figure out how to navigate the transition into college and runs a small peer mentoring program. He has paid paternity leave and a generous amount of vacation time, so when we bring our baby home, George will be able to be around a lot.

DIANA MAKING AN ENTRANCE FROM BEHIND THE CURTAINS
OUR FURRY FRIEND
Our cat, Diana, is a rescue kitty. She is shy around new people but is a big sweetheart once she gets to know you. She likes to sit on the couch and cuddle while George watches Star Trek or curl up by the electric fireplace while Tara is writing.

GEORGE HELPING OUR NIECE WITH HER PRESENTS
Georgre’s father and brother live nearby. George’s father is a retired music professor. He loves going to concerts and museums, reading, and discussing history. While we often host holiday gatherings, we have summer cookouts at his house.
Tara’s mother lives in New York City, but they talk every day. Like Tara, her mother is also an avid reader. She is looking forward to playing games with, singing to, and reading to her future grandchild.
Tara’s father and stepmother live in Connecticut. Tara’s father is a retired handyman. He also plays the guitar and loves to sing. Tara’s stepmother is an artist who paints and crochets.
George’s mother lives in Florida. We usually visit about once a year but speak by phone for a few hours every weekend. When George was growing up, she was an early childhood educator. She is a devoted grandma to our nieces, and video chats with them frequently. She is also very active in her local church and sings beautifully.

WE WILL TEACH THEM about art, cultural activities, science, sports, and do all we can to nurture their inquisitive mind.
WE WILL ENCOURAGE THEM to discover what they want to be, and we will back them all the way in the pursuit of their goals.
WE PROMISE TO keep them safe, healthy, and happy.
WE WILL MAKE SURE THEY are well fed and provided for. Even when they are grown, they will always be able to come home to us.
WE WILL MAKE SURE THEY have an excellent education, both in school and through extracurriculars. We will save for their postsecondary education (whether that be college, a trade school, or something else), so that they have a good start without too much debt.
WE WILL READ THEM stories every night and ask them what they learned in school each day.
WE PROMISE TO GIVE THEM lots of hugs and let them know every day that we love them and are so happy to have them with us.

THANK YOU AGAIN FOR READING OUR PROFILE, AND WE HOPE TO HEAR FROM YOU SOON!
We promise you that we will always speak with your child about you with love. We realize that choosing adoption is a tough decision, and that you want to make sure that your child will have the best life and future possible. We want to honor and respect that choice, and if you choose us to be adoptive parents, we would do everything in our power to give them a good life and a good future. We’ve wanted to become parents for so long, and if you choose us, WE WILL TREASURE THE GIFT OF THIS CHILD EVERY SINGLE DAY. They will be loved, they will be nurtured, and they will have us in their corner to support them as they become the person they are meant to be.
